Mastering Basic Grabs on a Wakeboard | Simple Tutorial for ANYONE!
This video is designed to help you learn how to grab your wakeboard.
We start with the basics, and make sure you have the fundamentals on lock and then go from there!
The easiest grab in my opinion is the indy, then the staylefish, then the tail grab and then the last one on the list is the nose grab.
With all these grabs, it's crucial you bring your board to you, rather than bending down to it.
I hope this helps, and thanks for watching!

I can still wakeboard!
Переглядів 3,3 тис.Місяць тому
So as it turns out, if I get behind a Centurion Ri230, I can still wakeboard pretty well!! I got the opportunity to go to Freedom Wake Park and ride both their locations. It's safe to say, when I got out behind the Ri230 I felt somewhat invisible. The wake was making my life so much easier, and I enjoyed every moment of it!! Hope you enjoy the video, and thanks for watching. Dave
The Easiest Flip to Learn on a Wakeboard | Tutorial
Переглядів 1,9 тис.Місяць тому
What flip/invert is the easiest?!? Well in my opinion and experience it's the toeeside backroll, particularly off the kicker/ramp. It's important to approach the ramp slowly, and just before you get to it, take your back hand off the handle. Make sure to ride to the top of the kicker, and then push off like you would on a backflip on the trampoline. From there, tuck your knees in, and look back...
How To Corner Wakeboarding - WakePark Top Tips
Переглядів 998Місяць тому
After spending some time at the cable park, I realised lots of people are taking the corners incorrectly, and therefore this is a simple tutorial to help people go around a corner on a wakeboard. The most important thing to remember is - take the corner, or the corner will take you. What I mean by this, is you need to switch your edge from toes to heals, or from heals to toes depending on which...

We've come for a little holiday in America and I couldn't not contact Sean Silveira to see if I could go out for a session behind his new Ri230. Unfortunately Sean was away, but his buddy Galo was happy to take us out for a little shred. it was my first time on a big wake in a while, so I didn't fill it all the way, however we had an absolute blast. Thanks for watching. Dave

One things I've wanted to accomplish for years, is to see how far I can wakeboard. It sounds crazy as usually wakeboarding is about tricks but it's always something I've been intrigued by. Challenge No.1 is to see if I can wakeboard 100 kilometres. It's basically a wakeboard marathon!! The wakepark runs at about 30km/h so on this basis I should be able to do it in less than 4 hours. I also work...

Appreciate your explanation on the progressive edge through the wave and maintaining that edge. I’m making the mistake of flattening out when I stand tall, losing a lot of pop. Can’t wait to head out and see if I can apply the knowledge now!!

Thanks. They're both very different. Grabbing inverts is a whole new level, that's for sure. The tS backroll is probably one of the easier ones to grab. It's really about sucking your knees up to your chest on the take off. So the grab nearly initiates the flip, rather than flipping and then chasing the grab throughout.

Trampoline backflips no problem. Any ideas on pop when squaring up?!

Always love your videos Dave! I would add, as somebody who is in the process of learning how to flip, that I wouldn't recommend to try a backflip on a trampoline (without a spotter that knows what they're doing) if you have never tried backflipping before. Landing on your head on a trampoline can still cause some serious injury. I got some classes at a local parkour gym (or a gymnastics place should work too). Or you can start just by jumping off land into the water. Once you are confident you will get passed your head then you can move to the trampoline.

I cant ride in the blind position! I can cross the wakes in the cuffed position no worries but as soon as I take the front hand off I will tic tock. I have tried to max edging, hinging, rear leg weight and reaching around fully. I have tried leaning at slightly different angles. knuckles are tight to my back. Ive looked to the shore and to my tail. Seems impossible. I think it might be due to my thick physique and shorter unflexible arms. Will larger fins help me? I use 0.8" fins on a 150 murray pro. 230 pounds.
